[mythtv-users] Master backend without capture card?

Hello!

Is it possible to have a master backend without any capture card?

I recall reading that this is generally not possible without some
special configuration.

I would like to have my general Debian server act as a master backend
and power on/off another combined backend/frontend for scheduled
recordings and for watching recordings and other media files.

The general server does not have any GUI.
