You can always just to Slackware 13 and have QT4 by default.  Kidding
of course.  I remember I got trunk running on 12.2 with qt4, but I'm
afraid I don't quite remember exactly how I did it.  I think I a few
environment variables were set when compiling and the resulting
executable linked up to the right libs.

I know I had to specify the correct qmake in the slackbuild.  You can
grep the configure file for possible qt options.   grep -i qt
configure
