I saw this new Dyson fan today:

bladeless fan could be nice for cooling computers, as most of the
noise is from the blades moving through the air. There is still a fan
in there but the technology is able to amplify the final output 15x.
So it would be possible to have a virtually silent fan on the intake
and then have bladeless units cooling the components. I guess this is
assuming you are the kind of person that will spend $300 on a fan.
