I strongly recommend you start with one of the distributions that has
packages to handle all of this for you. There really is no need to be
working with things at this level if you are new. Mythbuntu is
probably the most popular and they have done a lot of work to make it
super easy to setup a mythtv system: http://www.mythbuntu.org/. It is
just a standard Ubuntu system with packages added to automate or
simplify the setup and configuration of mythtv. There are similar
things for Fedora if that is what you are more familiar with.

If you want to do everything manually then you need to provide us with
more information. What distribution are you using. How did you
install/setup mysql and mythtv. It looks like you need to figure out
how to sign into mysql as root. Usually the password is left blank but
if you set a root password you need to use it. Also mythtv systems
generally have a mythtv user. You don't have to sign in or ever use
this user but it will be the user that runs the backend. You can and
should just use your normal user to run the frontend and use your
system. It really isn't an issue, why do you care if there is a mythtv
user? Also there is a distinction between the mysql users and the
standard system users. That sql file you are running is just setting
up the mythtv mysql user and setting up the empty mythtv database.
But again, if you are new I strongly recommend you back up and give
mythbuntu or some other preconfigured distribution a try.
