Before you jump on to the mythtv stuff

can you do a tzap "BBC ONE" and let us know the output, and can you
also do a tzap -r "BBC ONE" /path/to/record/file.mpg

Then try playing back the file using either mplayer or vlc or whatever
to make sure you've got a decent signal lock.
