[mythtv-users] DVD playing not working properly

When playing a DVD with the internal player I'm getting these:

The prebuffering pausing causes the video/audio skips and such. 

I'm running 0.22 and its running on a fast enough system - I play 1080i 
video with no issues and no audio skips so I'm not sure what would be 
causing these.  Now interestingly, vlc does a similar thing and mplayer 
wouldn't even play the DVD.

OS is Mythbuntu running JYA's repositories.  VDPAU 190.
