Agreed. My 8400GS PCI replaced a much older 5200FX AGP card ($50 in
2005). Even the 5200 has better Xv playback than the 8400. OpenGL
performance was better too. The 8400GS is really only an HD playback
acceleration card. For any other purpose it is average at best.
