What would be the best way to combine xbmc with mythtv on a single machine ?

xbmc has a great, and very friendly interface ... but when it comes to
TV and recordings it's just non-existent.

I was suggested SageTV not so long ago as a good solution...
Unfortunately, it looks more and more to be the solution I've always
been after.
Rather than having to fiddle so often with myth.
