That last one's a good'un. I've found under certain circumstances that my
hostname gets reset to 127.0.0.1 after I've done certain tinkering with the
network config. Make sure no system script has decided it knows better than you
and check your /etc/hosts file every time.
Note that if you have more than one host (ie separate frontend and backend) your
host names *cannot* map to 127.0.0.1 or they'll never connect.
