I'll add my two cents with Greg. Extremely stable even using VDPAU. 
Minor lockup problems were squashed with the next nvidia driver version. 
  Extremely stable prior to that running the Intel driver (until they 
deleted XvMC support about version 2.5.2).
Yes Mythvideo and MythMusic got messed up during the toolkit changeover 
but they are now working. The core never flinched.

Yes I have had recent glitches but nothing unbearable. I could and did 
live with no OSD for a little while. Now fixed.

BUT, you do have to be willing to update. (Not that that is a 
hassle...scripts are nice to know how to use!)
