I'd qualify it with "when mythdvd doesn't crash seeking to the bookmark, it is 
awesome".

I had to turn off bookmarking as I found a number of DVDs that would 
consistently hang when returning to a bookmark.  I'll try turning it back on 
in 0.22.  It's a shame, as it's a fantastically useful option on DVDs of TV 
series as we could choose play all and never watch the DVD adverts telling us 
not to pirate (again and again and again).
