thanks for the reply, Andrew. My original problem was that the IR
xmiter didn't flash when I used irsend. Then, Mike Perkins pointed out
I should used lirc_serial not lirc_sir. So, now I rcv the current
error msg I reported earlier:

$ irsend SEND_ONCE DC50X enter
irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE DC50X enter
irsend: hardware does not support sending
