I'm using a VIP722, recording the SD baseband output with a PVR-150. I am also
anticipating the 1212 being supported.
The captions show up on the recordings, selectable in the normal way ("T"
turns them on/off, and you can select them from the on-screen menu).
I didn't do anything special to get them to work. You shouldn't have to burn
them in, as they are carried in the vertical interval (line 21).
I can't see any reason the 211 would behave differently from a 722. Did you
set them up properly in Myth?
Anything recording analog video should also record the VBI, so your card can't
really be the problem. I suspect your setup.
Do you get the "cc" logo in your recordings listing?
