Yes, it can be done. I have the same problem (analog cable + digital 
cable). You create two different inputs, each with its own set of 
channels. Then, you need to:
1. Make sure that channels on both inputs have the same callsign on both 
channels (i.e. both are called Pro7)
2. Make sure that channels on both inputs have the same xmltvid (where 
appropriate of course).

Also, make sure you disable 'useonairguide' for those channels that 
exist on both inputs and that you get channel information for those 
through xmltv. Your EIT information usually looks very different from 
the xmltv data as you've seen.
