Hello,
Is it possible to play audio/video connected via LAN, from on more than one mythfrontend machines using single Mythbackend?
I wish to stream the audio files from a backend server to one or more frontends i.e mythmusic should also be able to play audio/video tracks which are not on the local file system.
This is what i have done till now:
1 Updated the mysql file on frontends with the IP address of backend server
2 Granted backend server access to all frontend machines
3 Updated the settings table with IP address of Backend server
4 Updated hosts file of frontends to include the hostname of the backend server
I have been able to connect these machines but could not play the audio files saved on the backend server via different frontend.
Please help.
Also, Is it true that "The backend process (mythbackend) is the portion of the system that handles the Video capture cards as well as Scheduling Recordings on those cards, Commercial Flagging, and transcoding. The backend process interacts with the Database primarily. "
Thanks in Advance,
Sadhvee
