Every burst of these (which goes on ad nauseum for a couple of minutes)
is preceded by the dreaded prebuffering pause:

2009-04-30 21:46:27.422 NVP(7): prebuffering pause

Then comes a long string of the above, then silence for a few minutes,
then another prebuffering pause and a long string of errors, etc.
