My vote is the HDHR, as you are suggesting.

It is just great, two tuners and you can locate it anywhere on yout network.

Only caveat would be if for some reason your network doesn't permit it (very 
heavily loaded etc.). I would also not suggest trying to use an HDHR if the 
connection to the B/E is wireless.
