[mythtv-users] Theme stuff

Since folks are announcing themes, I figured I would toss out a bit
more information on mine. I mentioned it a while back when it didn't
have a name, but might as well mention that it's now called Graphite.

I've been working on some MythVideo improvements lately, so I've more
or less gotten to make MythVideo changes based on my theme desires,
and keep my theme up to date with the changes. My current work is
towards integrated TV Subtitle/Season/Episode support in MythVideo.
Doug Vaughan wrote a TVDB grabber script, and we have spent some time
collaborating on the MythVideo behavior with it. the result is a
patch that adds support for those fields, as well as parses the season
and episode out of filenames when they are added. You'll see some of
that here. Of course, there's also fanart, banner, and screenshot
support in MythVideo now, so that is used. The patch sets up the
MythVideo grabber to pull down images with a naming scheme that is
recognized elsewhere... namely, in the Watch Recordings screen, which
also now supports fanart, banners, and coverart. So, let's say you
have a few seasons of 24 archived in MythVideo, and you use the new
grabber with them... it will set up 24 fanart/banner/coverart such
that the next time you record 24 in Myth, your watch recordings screen
might look something like...

Note that the Watch Recordings Screen is smart enough to pick the
latest season's image, if multiple seasons of images are available.

Here is some screencap'ed video of the theme in action. Istanbul is
pretty bad when using the OpenGL theme painter, so there are some
blips and weirdness in the capture that are not present when using the
theme.

"Random" image types are now supported, so I'm having a play with that
for Graphite. I'll likely ship it with next to no background images,
with a script to prompt the user for a few directories for Movie
fanart, game images, etc. so that there are randomized, context
sensitive watermarks as backgrounds for the menu screens.

Here's me goofing with that:

Anyway, enjoy, I hope to have it out right about when .22 is. I'm
mostly adding screens as they get ported to MythUI so I'm mostly
keeping up.

Robert
