Yeah, you may be wrong. I think, for an SD source, most of our
deinterlacers degrade the quality more than the use of S-Video - for
SD you lose very little through S-Video.

Also, it may be possible to output 480i or 576i via HDMI (I'm afraid I
know little about that).
