It's taken me a while to get back to this.

Yeah it is really quite amazing. I'm consistently impressed by the
video quality, especially when I switch back to an SD source like the
PS2 or my DVD player (for DVDs from other regions).

Yeah it seems very fussy.

I've tried both. I'm just using the audio on my telly, connected to the
PS3 over HDMI. Wouldn't have a clue what it supports.

Yeah it's quite strange. I only really watch two channels most of the
time, so I expected consistency. I think multirec might have something
to do with it.

I haven't had a chance to try without multirec yet, but will try that
shortly. That said, I'm pretty keen on the multirec feature! It means
overlapping programme start/end times don't need >1 tuner.

Not quite sure what that is. I'm playing out at 1080p, so would it
really matter?

I might try recording some random (short) snippets to do that.

Yes I've found this too! It seems quite content to play some content
from the hard drive, but not otherwise. Most annoying.
