Some misc lirc notes for Fedora 11 users:

1) lirc_i2c in the F11 release kernel isn't functional on at least
some hardware (notably, the Hauppauge PVR-250/350). Its fixed in the
latest kernel hanging out in the build system though -- http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/kernel/2.6.29.5/198.fc11/

2) the overhauled lirc_imon is also present in the above referenced
kernel, complete with the recent addition of a modparam that allows
you to disable the mouse/keyboard toggle button if you don't want the
mouse mode toggled on while in mythfrontend

3) lirc_serial appears to be broken. I swear it worked last I tried
it, but its been a while. For the record, I think lirc_serial is
rather grotty code, and everyone should stay away from it and use
something usb-based instead. I still intend to look at it and get it
fixed though.

4) lirc_sir might also be broken, but lirc_sir is an absolute train
wreck, and no sane person should be using it. Might be an easy fix
though, again, intending to look at it and work on a fix.

Sounds grim and all, but lirc_mceusb, lirc_mceusb2, lirc_imon and
anything else not mentioned here should Just Work. :)
