Sorry for not providing plugreport sooner. Here it is:

matt at mythdev:/usr/local/bin$ plugreport
Host Adapter 0
==============

Node 0 GUID 0x00110666000000b8
------------------------------
libiec61883 error: error reading oMPR
libiec61883 error: error reading iMPR

Node 1 GUID 0x0022ce14782e0000
------------------------------
oMPR n_plugs=1, data_rate=2, bcast_channel=63
oPCR[0] online=1, bcast_connection=0, n_p2p_connections=0
        channel=0, data_rate=0, overhead_id=0, payload=146
iMPR n_plugs=0, data_rate=2

And attempting to change the channel with the -n switch gives me:

matt at mythdev:/usr/local/bin$ ./sa4250_ch_new -n 0 -v 784
node 0: vendor_id = 0x00001106 model_id = 0x00000000
Device acquired on node 0
Changing channel 784
AV/C Command: cmd0=0x00487ce7 cmd1=0x04031000 cmd2=0xff000000

It looks like it works, but the channel never changes.
