Compiling from svn (21-fixes) and following the instructions included 
with mythweb, it's working fine under Mandriva 2009.1.  I did the following:

Copy the mythweb folder to /var/www/html/
chown apache:apache /var/www/html/mythweb -R
cp mythweb.conf.apache /etc/httpd/conf.d/mythweb.conf

mcedit myweb.conf and set the installation directory to 
/var/www/html/mythweb

Made sure that shorwall wasn't running and just for the heck of it, did 
a service iptables stop.

Everything works.
