[mythtv-users] LIRC keeps flooding dmesg with junk, is there anyway to stop this?

Just a shot in the dark here...it's possible that the remote receiver
is sensitive enough to be detecting IR in the room light or something.
 The receiver may actually need to be covered with something that lets
less light in.  It certainly looks as though it's actually receiving
something.
