Ok, mythtv-setup for some magical reason does not detect (or
does not want to detect) standard-definition digital channels.
And the import channels.conf does not seem to like what I was
feeding it. Maybe I was feeding it wrong food, I thought it was the
output of scan command which was required.

In any event, I went into the mythtv data base and added the channels
manually. MythTV happily shows me all the channels now.

One problem which escapes me is how to make SchedulesDirect sent me the
program guide. I have added xmltvid corresponding to the channels into
mythtv-setup channel editor, but nothing comes in. SchedulesDirect profile
lists the required ids. Do I have to manipulate some table other than
channels in the mythv data base?

Thanks a lot for your help
