Ageed. I have an old Athlon 3700+ running an SD-only system and it works fine.
Going to a RAID0 array improved overall performance greatly, since so much of
Myth is just disk I/O.
But I think the OP of this thread was looking for HD, which can take a lot of
CPU unless you can use VDPAU.
