If you are taking your signals out of a satellite receiver you'll need an
analog baseband input, either composite or S-Video.

If you want to record HD from a satellite receiver the only method is a
Hauppauge HD-PVR-1212, the support for which is not in the released versions
of Myth (yet).

You're not really wanting "digital" as only analog signals are available for
recording out of a sat receiver. To record from the HDMI output you'd best be
prepared to sell your house and/or children in order to purchase the required
device.

The best digital solution for cable or off-air is an HD Homerun, which can
deal with QAM or OTA ATSC. This can't accept baseband, or analog cable
though.

If your cable system still has analog NTSC channels available, most any analog
device can tune them. The PVR-150s work well if you can find one.

So look for a card that can handle composite or S-Video inputs, with perhaps
analog cable if that's available to you.
