i think only the software encoder cards use the nuv container anymore
anyway.  i believe i remember a day when files from my pvr-250 were
.nuv but that is definitely not the case anymore as far as i know.
and anything hd will obviously be mpeg2 (or mpeg4 i guess with the
hd-pvr) and i think the plextor convertx also encodes to mpeg4.  just
