A possible alternative to a complicated rule is using the
"CategoryOverTime" facility (available at the bottom of the
mythfrontend TV settings page that deals with the start early/end late
settings) that lets you add a custom amount of time to programmes
flagged as being in a particular category (e.g. "movie", "sports") -
if (and only if) there is sufficient time before the tuner is needed
for the next scheduled recording.

Note that programmes do need to be flagged as being in the chosen
category for this to work (and I'm sure this is feature is currently
limited to just one active category).
