As Mike Dean points out this functionality exsts with
JUMPPREV/PREVCHAN.

The last program is not saved if Watch Recordings is exited and
reentered, though. I took a quick crack at saving the data somehow as
long as mythfrontend hasn't been restarted but didn't get anywhere; I
hope someone else will one day step in and fill the breach left by my
wholly-inadequate coding skills.
