Hi Erik,

Thanks for the response. The problem has been resolved and the solution has
been posted in an alternative thread.

However,

I am not using plughw in my settings except for with mythmusic. Perhaps I
should use plughw everywhere so that also will convert the stream if
required.

I assume that that is what plughw does?

I might play around and see how it goes...
