[mythtv-users] Selecting "Watch TV" exits right away?

After finally fixing database stuff, MythTV is working great, shows
videos from filesystem, and even finds some streaming channels like
NASA TV. Which is all great and I want to thank creators of this
program for their fine efforts. I also apologize for the tone of my
first message yesterday. 

As far as viewing TV, for right now the only option I have is a
HDHomeRun device, which I have fully working (with VLC and
hdhomerun_config_gui).

I have added it as a video device to MythTV and it seems to detect it
just fine. 

However, when I select "Watch TV" in the main menu, something happens
for a fraction of a second, and then I return back to the main
menu. It is as if mythtv tries something and fails and returns
immediately.

Nothing useful shows up in /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log.
