Agreed, the Ubuntu Community Documentation is the best source for an
ubuntu install (just as the mythtv.org docs are the best for a
from-scratch install).  The parker.co.uk install stuff is about two
years old and has led a number of people afoul over the past year or
so-- our consensus on Freenode is that it's become a bit too dated to
use.
