NVidia took the wraps off their ION platform today at CES. It appears
to be what we've been waiting for - onboard VDPAU-capable graphics,
along with gig Ethernet, DVI video, and 7.1 sound. Here are Nvidia's
specs:

CPU
Atom 330, 1.6GHz, FSB 533MHz

Memory
Single Channel DDR3-1066, 2GB

GPU
GeForce 9400M, 16 graphics cores, full HD decode

SATA
3Gbps

Networking
10/100/1000 Ethernet

Audio
7.1 HD Azalia

Max Res.
2560x1600 dual link DVI, 1080p HDMI

If this thing can come out at a good price point - Say, $99 - It's a
game-changer in the Myth world. This is the final side of the HD-PVR /
VDPAU / triangle! Once the VDPAU drivers go non-beta, .22 comes out
(with HD-PVR support) and Boxee goes mainstream this will be the
ultimate package for an HTPC box.

It may sound a little corny but this could be when everything comes
together and MythTV's popularity explodes!
