I personally have Music Player Daemon
http://sourceforge.net/projects/musicpd/ running on my slave
backend/frontend in my living room. If I want to listen to music I don't
even bother with mythmusic. It's not remote friendly but I run the
client on my n800 and control it that way. If I want to control it from
the same machine I luckily have a gyro remote I can use. Sonata is my
client of choice.
