I use (3) - which is to run XP under VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org/)
and ALT-TAB to the XP session when I want to run Netflix. Be sure to use
the version you download from their website - not the one that comes in the
repositories. It works fine - except I get a little video tearing which I
haven't been able to track down.

I also use (4) which is to run Myth under OSX on a mac mini, and use boxee
for Netflix. The OSX version of Boxee works with Netflix (the GNU/Linux one
doesn't).
