I'm running CentOS 5.2 and I updated all the packages a couple of days
ago and installed the latest version of mythsqueezebox -
mythsqueezebox-0.5-21.fc10.rpm. I've set the volume on the Squeeze
server to full for this player. The Mythsqueezebox plug-in still isn't
outputting any sound.

But I think there's something more fundamentally wrong. When I try to
play a song it comes up in the now playing list but the time remaining
etc doesn't count down - it just hangs there. If I play the song by
choosing the mythsqueezebox player from the Squeeze server web
interface the track seems to play for a few seconds on the server's
web interface but then stops and reverts back to the beginning and
starts up again - and all the while the time remaining on the Now
Playing screen of mythsqeezebox doesn't change and there's no sound.

I checked that I have port 9090 open for TCP & UDP. I have a Windows
PC which has a squeezebox client running on it and that works fine so
I'm pretty sure the Squeeze server is OK. I think the plugin just
doesn't want to play the tracks.

Does anyone have this working on CentOS 5?

Regards,
Phill
