...another thing to consider is that this data isn't merely limited to
MythTV. This isn't Tivo. You can have your system as open as you want
it to be. There's no reason that you can't have read access to your
media on your entire network and presented to multiple operating
systems. You might find some non-Myth app or some non-Linux app suits
your needs for a particular purpose better. Or you may just have 
some stubborn family member that refuses to run Linux. '-)
