[mythtv-users] Default audio and subtitle languages for ripped DVDs

Now that I have moved forward and am able to put ripped movies into the
Myth file system hierarchy, I have other questions. I am careful when
using DVDfab to select the default audio and subtitle languages; for
instance, since we live in Chile, I rip cartoons (Incredibles,
Madagascar, etc.) with Spanish audio and no subtitles (so that my kids
will be able to simply start the movie), but I rip "grown-up" movies
(Star Wars, Matrix) with English audio and Spanish subtitles (so that I
can watch them with my wife). I have verified this works by playing the
rip with VLC; the proper audio and subtitles do come up automatically.

When I play the rip in Myth, it doesn't seem to respect these defaults;
the movie starts with no subtitles and with the first audio track. Am I
doing something wrong?

Related to this: I have found some DVDs with the wrong classification
for their audio and subtitle tracks; for instance, the audio track is
really in English but DVDfab / Myth / whatever show it as "unclassified"
or "Italian" or something else. Is there a good tool to fix this in my
rips?

Something else: for Spanish audio tracks, Myth is showing the language
as "Spanish; Castillian" (or some such). This is too long and does not
fit on the screen; can I edit that label in some configuration file /
table and shorten it to "Spanish"?
