The choice is yours.  If you want to lose all the features that an
integrated player gives you, just add the MythTV recording directory
to the list of directories that you allow MythVideo to use.  Then you
can use mplayer, xine, vlc, etc. to play your TV recordings.  Or you
can use that rename script in link-only mode to link your recordings
into another directory that MythVideo looks at.
