Exactly, with my 1080p TV I have mythbox setup to play SD with Advanced 
1x, 720p with no deinterlacer and 1080i with Bob 2x.    Though having a 
progressive TV makes it easier, but I don't recall ever using a 
deinterlacer on my SDTV and it looked great (especially with scaled down 
HD content)
