Certainly not, as if you had read my post more carefully I mentioned
that it can do VC-1 ; it's with the deinterlacing that it is
struggling.

It is definitely a G98 card

sigh ... It seems that I'm making less assumptions than you, and at
least I properly read other's people post.

If you had bothered reading people report, the G98 based 8400gs card
struggle to do any advanced deinterlacing on HD content.
