I have a Sony RM-VL600
(http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=sony+rm-vl600&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=2716994124322465229&ei=erc8S_XwF5OAsgO9udzHBA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CCoQ8wIwAg#ps-sellers

It is a learning remote that can handle up to 8 inputs. It's reasonably
priced and I've been quite happy with it. For awhile, at least, you
could pick them up at Wal-Mart. It has a feature that lets you set
certain buttons to always go to the same device. My volume up/down/mute
are set to always control the audio amp, regardless of which "mode"
button has been selected.
