[mythtv-users] Some what OT vlc

Had to reload a ubuntu 9.10 desktop

I use vlc a lot to view a dvd before I rip it.

Not able to play from dvd device.  Gets scrambled.  Here is some output from
/var/log/messages -

However I can burn an iso image with brasero and play the iso with vlc

Believe I have installed all the restrictive libraries

Anybody have any ideas?
