Or drain rods, gardening canes, whatever - very good for 
pushing/pulling stuff through gaps. If it's a long run, then it can 
be better to pull in a lightweight rope first and then pull the cable 
with that - otherwise you can find yourself with half the garden 
canes in your hand when the tape fails to hold them together :-(
