I did follow that thread closely, as I was having that issue. That seems to
be fixed though and this isn't a delay, there's just no response ever.

I've found that restarting gdm will fix the issue, at least temporarily.
Perhaps this is a better solution than doing a full reboot?

I also updated to the most recent weekly build of mythbuntu so maybe that
will help...
