Though the /best/ approach for changing xmltvid's is using the 
mythtv-setup or MythWeb Channel Editor.  No direct DB access required, 
and if you use the MythWeb Channel Editor, you get the list of all the 
channels and can edit them all at once.

Regardless, Geoff's recommendation for doing a backup still applies.  :)

Yep, the xmltvid associates listings information to a (MythTV) channel.  
If your SD lineup has the right channels selected, simply changing the 
MythTV channel configuration to use the desired xmltvid changes the 
listings associated with that MythTV channel.
