[mythtv-users] pre-buffering - networking issues between distributions

Hi,

I have a Via SP13000 system connected to a backend via Cat5e on a 100Mbps
network. This system has MythDora5 installed on a HD after struggling
previously with MythBuntu (Mythbuntu is on the backend).

I concluded (probably wrongly) that XvMC wasnt properly enabled on the
system and this caused the stuttering...

However I have just installed Ubuntu9.04on a USB stick on the system and it
works, although it still stutters

When starting it via the command line it indicates it is the network that
can't keep up, I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction?

I have reviewed lshw and ifconfig.

Via Rhine driver is in use and it is configuredfor full duplex 100meg.
