Disafan,
I did not take the comparison question as criticism and did feel it was
a very good question which I tried to answer. No worries.
As for the issues you ran into with Fedora's 2.0.5 version of Miro, I
suspect it may still work but have never tested that version. I have
just finished working with Nasa and his Mandiva distro and we discovered
that the python library "pyparsing" needs to be version 1.5.0 or higher.
I updated the wiki page and will be releasing a v0.3.2 version of Miro
Bridge with bug fixes and the check the proper "pyparsing" version
within the next day or so.
You could update to Miro's latest v2.5.2 which is what Nasa did along
with updating "pyparsing".
I have a headless machine which has a gui installed and use VNC to great
effect. Would this be a viable alternative for your Miro GUI needs?
Please let me know about the issues you are having after I release and
you upgrade to Miro Bridge v0.3.2. being a beta release these are the
kind of issues I want to understand and deal with through code changes
or documentation.
Thanks
Doug
