Sounds like the intermittent "tinny audio" problem. I solved it by
putting this as the last line of my channel changing script:
( sleep 5; v4l2-ctl --set-audio-input 1 -d /dev/video0 > /dev/null 2>&1 ) &
So at worst the first 5 seconds has distorted audio. My kernel is
2.6.24.4 (MythDora 5) and still has the problem.
